Spider-like creatures stretching 11 cm across that live in special bell-like chambers in the ocean phantom. In exchange for being fed by the ocean phantom they defend the phantom from attack from the reef glider. They slash at the attackers with their large poisoned jaws, inflicting gaping wounds.

Spindletroopers live and fit neatly inside the ocean phantom suction bells. In return they come out to provide defence when the colony is threatened.

They have large jaws full of sharp fangs, capable of delivering an injection of painful poison. With these and their long claws, they slash at anything that attacks their ocean phantom home.

When hungry, a spindletrooper scratches at the walls of its home bell, stimulating it to regurgitate food from the rest of the colony.
